Miss Yaz has taken a multiple of training and focused her higher education in the themes of consent, trauma informed practice, safe practice within the kink sphere. She is a social work grad with a focus on health.
As well as specific training Trauma-Informed Care by CTRI Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute, Good Night Out Vancouver Workshop, Sexually Competent Therapist accredited by AASECT. Within the BDSM realm Miss yaz is a practicing Pro-dom, calling herself a “fetish practitioner” as she attempts to broaden the lens of what a Pro-dom is able to offer in terms of a diverse healing space. Learning concepts such as RACK from her in depth mentorship program with Mistress Damazonia. Her personal offering workshops range from workshops on topics such as rape culture and consent, and BDSM eduction workshops in collaberation with OPEN:ENDED Victoria, Art workshops to street entrenched folks with PEER society in vancouver, and many more.

Are you interested in exploring power exchange within and beyond the BDSM framework? Do you wish to gain insights into the psychological aspects of BDSM and kink? This workshop is designed to enhance your confidence in your role as a Dominant, Submissive, or Switch. Led by Miss Yazmin, who employs a trauma-informed approach, participants will learn foundational concepts for recognizing and harnessing power dynamics as well as becoming aware of power within the social structures around them. The session will cover essential topics, including the roles of Dominants and Submissive, examples of rules and rituals, effective negotiation and communication strategies, and how to integrate rules and rituals into your play and lifestyle. Attendees will acquire practical skills and insights to navigate the realms of domination and submission effectively, recognizing and harnessing power dynamics.
Knowing the part of ourselves that is able to play with power and where we sit on the scale. We will run through the different forms and types of relationships that occur in D/S dynamics, then the participants will be able to place themselves/discover what identity they most resonate with or identities. Participants will get to see live demonstrations of how a bottom and top may interact.
The participants then will get to practice the verbal aspects of what they have learned by pairing up and playing out the essential phases needed in a power play scene including the negotiation, check-in and after-care. This is done so that participants understand the basics of Power play and other forms of BDSM play.
